As summer is quickly coming to a close, we are taking a look back at some memorable events and happenings of Summer 2021.
A positive vote by the Maryland Board of Public Works
On August 11, a privatized toll lane rebuild for Legion Bridge, I-270 was approved by the Maryland Board of Public Works. The vote clears the way to proceed with a plan to finance, construct and operate what is projected to be up to a $7 billion dollar project to widen the road. We were so proud to be involved in this initiative and thrilled with the outcome!
Site Visit CAPCA
We were thrilled to do a site visit at one of our member organizations from (Central Atlantic Precast Concrete Association (CAPCA) and were joined by State Highway Administrator Tim Smith and deputy administrator Joey Sagal.
Governor Hogan Hosts an evening with Business Leaders
We were delighted to be invited to an event hosted by Governor Hogan and the First Lady, Yumi Hogan.
MACo and LobbyPalooza
During MAC0's Summer 2021 Conference, MACo and county leaders explored the local role in pandemic response and recovery – strategic planning, evolving service delivery, emergency communications, advancing technologies, and fiscal obstacles. We also hosted our very own LobbyPalooza at Red Red Wine Bar OC. We were joined by numerous state and local officials from the Hogan Administration.
